NTE Labs Care Assistant
A voice assistant that keeps older adults company and keeps their families informed.
The Care Assistant is a pilot service by NTE Labs, Inc. Older adults talk to their assistant by phone, in English or Spanish, whenever they want. A simple app with large buttons lets them log their medications and blood sugar. No typing, no complicated screens.
What the assistant does
Listens and answers in plain words, by phone, any time the person calls.
Records how the person feels, their blood sugar readings and questions for their doctor.
Sends a gentle text reminder only if medications have not been logged.
Notifies a family member the person chose if medications are still not logged.
Sends urgent alerts, by call and text, to the family members the person designated when there is a safety concern, for example if they press "I need help" or report chest pain.
What the assistant does not do
It does not diagnose, prescribe or change any medication. Medical decisions belong to the person's doctors.
It is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.
It always says it is an artificial intelligence assistant.
Consent and privacy
The older adult decides, by name, which family members receive information and what each one receives, and can change it at any time. Family members receive texts only after agreeing to them. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.
